Neil and Carola's wedding at Olmue

The wedding and reception was held at Olmue.  The area reminded me of Constantia or Franschoek in South Africa.  The church ceremony started at about 20h30 and was followed by the reception at Takihen which lasted, I am told, at 5h00.  The wedding service was in Spanish and English.

Waiting outside the church in Olmue - Saturday night, 8 o’clock. COLD! Seats for the ceremony - Seats for the bride’s parents, couple and the groom’s parents. Guests at our table - It was strange seeing fur coats but it was really cold (outside).
They look so good - She is an English teacher at a kindergarten at a bilingual school in Chile. Main table - Pelu (Carola’s mother), Claudio (her father), Patti (Neil’s host mother in Chile), Wendy and Gordon. Happy couple - Bride and groom
Threesome - Groom, bride and mother of bride Guests - Three guests at our table. Dancing was great. Great wedding - Good looking guests.
Lots to drink - The Pisco sours were the best drink.  Something strange in Chile was that so few people seemed to drink alcohol, or so it seemed to me. The cocktail Vaina was made with wine, eggs and cinnamon. Us - Pam and Harvey Wedding meal - The meal started off with prawn kebabs, sushi, other snacks and then steak with potato, spinach, and carrots/beans/red pepper. The deserts were divine
Harvey and bride - She never stopped smiling. Cueca - Dancer doing the traditional Chilean dance, the cueca. Cueca - Lady partner dancing the cueca.
Rented units - We all rented units at the wedding resort to recover from the evening which had started at 20h00 and ended 5h00. We slept over and returned to Villa Alemana late morning. Petticoats - Married man carrying the wedding dress petticoats day after the wedding. Tahiken - The wedding resort main building Tahiken.
