Valparaiso

We took a short train trip to Valparaiso and explored.  For me the lowlight were the hundreds of uncared for dogs in the streets. 

	Fish being cleaned and sold in the street - Explored a fruit and veggie market buying some huge delicious olives and wandering around. We then found the fish market – wow.		Octopus! - More live clean fish – big!		In the street - More fish in Valparaiso.
	Dogs and more dogs - There are hundreds of dogs on the streets in Valparaiso and all the places we were in central Chile.		Up and up! - Valparaiso is on the coast with people living on the hill behind, hundreds of houses cramped on the steep hill.  Apparently the higher you are the poorer you are. 	One of many churches - View of church in Plaza Victoria.		Lunch with tripe - Disaster! ugh! - Lunch at a restaurant in Valparaiso. Set menu.  Spinach pancake.  Soup.  Tripe!  Jelly.  I could not eat the tripe – tasted very strong of – know not what.		Up and up! - Asensor – kind of elevator / cable car– going to upper reaches of Valparaiso.

Saw kids, not looking at the view, but doing MATHS! - Went up the hill by asensor going to upper reaches of Valparaiso. Reached an area which went to one of Pablo Neruda’s houses.
	Pablo Neruda’s house - One of Pablo Neruda’s houses – converted into a museum but it was not open. Walked around the area.		World Heritage Site - Look at the steep streets in Valparaiso. Some of the area has been declared a World Heritage Site		Must keep residents fit! - Steep streets in Valparaiso.
