Getting ready for canopy tour - Harvey
did the tour on the slopes of the mountain. |
 |
Going to the stations - After training up to
the canopy itself - scary! |
 |
Crossing a rather wobbly bridge -
Nearing the start of the canopy activity. |
 |
Please don't let me stop short of the tree
- Oh, the ignominy! I would have to turn around and crawl hand-over-hand
in front of the others. |
 |
Mind the tree! - Coming up too fast!
Whoa! How does one slow this down. (Pull R.H.down; Stop squeezing -
Idiot!) |
 |
Made it. |
 |
Company - My travelling companions,
with some of our guides. |
 |
Various activities available - We
could ride horses, do canopy tour or ski boating. I walked around |
 |
Waiters - The breakfast display looked
so good. The Chilean food was very simple, uncluttered and without
sauces. |
 |
Playing with camera - Trying to show
snow against a white skyline. Either Osorno, Puntiagudo or Tronodor
volcano |
 |
Looking at hotel at Peulla - From the
Puerto Frias customs post looking back at the hotel where we had taken
part in 'ecological activities'. |
 |
Llama or vicuna - Small horselike
mammal. |
 |
Water everywhere - Where ever you looked
there was water, either a lake, waterfall or snow. |
 |
Crossing over - At the border post met
a dour customs official. Looked at me as if I was a criminal,
checked his list under the desk. |
 |
Feeding wild foxes - As our bus
stopped in the national park at Puerto Blest foxes ran to the bus - to be
fed! |
 |
Catamaran on lake - Cruised slowly
over the lake from Puerto Frias to Bariloche. |
 |
Slow cruising among glaciers and volcanoes
- The air outside was COLD. |
